This audiovisual composition is the result of a deep study on the Anthropocene Epoch, the most recent period in Earth's history, sparking reflections on Deep Time—the vast expanse of geological history extending far beyond our comprehension.
It presents a fusion of small fragments that take us on a journey through time and space, the millions of years preceding human existence. From the primordial formation of Earth to the emergence of Homo sapiens, symbolic motifs such as fire, representing the beginning of all, water embodying the essence of life and the human eye, which marks the rise of human species, are among the moments depicted in the composition. The recordings capture terrestrial and aquatic scenarios that evoke the beauty and ephemerality of time. This project was produced in pairs and my contribution involved filming the most part of the scenes, as well as post-production.
